Prints are available from me direct by ordering at my email address using Paypal (TM)*; just ask me for the type of print(s) you want, the title(s) of the print(s) as given on the website and the quantities you wish to purchase. You can cut and paste the title from my website into a text editor or directly into your email. If you are ordering from outside mainland UK, please tell me where.

Prints are digitally produced, and are both digitally and hand signed.

I print on European A-series metric sized papers, A4, A3 and A2, and A3+ also known as Super A3 or Super B, see print sizes. For my fine art prints, I prefer to print on acid free 'watercolour' papers using pigment inks that may be specially imported from the USA. I will also print on glossy or satin/lustre/pearl types of print finishes for customers who prefer a surface similar to those produced by high street photo processors.

Currently I favour and use coated matt watercolour papers from the Hahnemuhle range, notably PhotoRag (TM) and William Turner (TM) (appx. 190 gsm) or Moab Kayenta, of similar weights. These have gained popularity amongst fine art photographers. The 'Basic Print Price' is for such weight matt papers on A3 paper. In many cases, heavier weight circa 310 gsm paper may be ordered at a 20% premium. In my opinion, all these matt prints present very well behind glass. Prices for panoramic prints will be quoted on request, based on information below.

For glossy and satin/lustre/pearl papers viewers may see differences in the reflectiveness of the print when viewed at an angle. I use papers and printers that reduce these effects. My preference is for the satin/lustre/pearl surfaces such as Lyson Pro Photo Satin (265gsm), or Ilford Ilford Smooth Pearl (290 gsm). These papers attract no premium, notwithstanding their heavier weight. With technology for printing papers proceeding at a fast rate, I reserve the right to use other papers and inks as I consider appropriate.

Images may appear in the Galleries in colour or monochrome, or both, and derive from film or digital capture.

Monochrome images may have been produced from monochrome film or from colour sources and appear as shades of gray from black to paper base, or toned. Because toning may done in the printer, the appearance of such toned images on this website may not accurately reflect the tones of the print.**

My preferred style is to have prints in a similar format (height to width ratio), except where these would obviously differ, for example with panoramas or letter box type images. The normal format images are either about 240 mm or 180 mm wide, printed on A3 and A4 paper, respectively.

I normally print with a wide black border so that the over-mat, which should be accurately cut by a professional, has a thin black border betweeen the image proper and the mitre of the over-mat. With a black mat, there is then a mitre of white (being the core of the matboard) and then the thin black line demarcating the edge of the image. This style is approximately depicted in the Galleries. Alternatively a thin line border, or no border, may be requested at time of order at no additional charge.

Mats and frames may best be purchased by the print buyer.

The images in the gallery pages are depicted as matted in this way and as if mounted in aluminium frames. I also like black frames but a while ago I found a 'graphite' coloured frame which looks very good to me, but it is no longer available. You may be able to source such a frame, but the choice is yours.

Many of these images, for example colour prints from the flowers and plants galleries, may suit corporate clients for display in reception rooms, board rooms, hotel spaces and so on. Please contact me, for bulk or large orders.

Each image is titled and this is a unique identifier: please use this title when ordering.

The 'Basic Print Price' is for appx 190 gsm matt papers, such as those referred to above, and are the same regardless of image size when printed on A3 paper, at £50.00 excluding VAT. While the normal image width is about 240mm, customers may specify the width they wish subject to the minimum borders required by the printer for that paper size. Please note that VAT is not currently chargeable.

For prints on appx 190 gsm matt papers, the prices, excluding VAT are £40.00 for A4 papers, £65.00 for A3+ papers and £95.00 for A2 papers, in each case regardless of image size.

Panoramic prints are priced at twice the Basic Print Price for paper lengths up to 1.118 metres (44inches) and three times the Basic Print Price for paper lengths above 1.118 metres (44inches). There are technical limitations regarding the maximum size of panoramic prints.

As noted above these prices also apply to prints on gloss and satin/lustre/pearl papers but heavier matt papers, weighing around 310 gsm attract a 20 per cent premium.

Please note that I reserve the right to reinterpret the images on my website and any prints or cards ordered.
